Bari
Known throughout the world, especially in Eastern Europe, for being the city where the relics of St. Nicholas rest. This privilege has made Bari and its basilica one of the favorite centers of the Orthodox Church in the West. Bari has a solid mercantile tradition and has always been a focal point in the field of trade and political-cultural contacts with Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Its port is today the largest passenger port in the Adriatic Sea.
